Two dogs are dead after a Texas man pulled a gun and shot them during an argument with his wife. According to multiple sources, 23-year-old Krystoff Leanthony Joseph Irving used a handgun to shoot two dogs on June 2 at a home in Killeen. One of the dogs was immediately killed and the other had to be humanely euthanized because of the severity of the injuries.

One of the dogs belonged to his wife, and the other was a dog that his wife was pet-sitting for a friend.

Irving fled the scene before the authorities arrived, but was later tracked down during a traffic stop; he had a handgun visible in “plain view” when he was pulled over. He was arrested on multiple charges including making terroristic threats against a household member, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and two counts of cruelty and abuse of a non-livestock animal. He was booked into the Killeen City Jail.
