Remi Bader, a TikTok star and curve model, recently blasted a ranch in Montauk, New York, for denying her a horse ride because of her weight. Three days ago she posted a video to TikTok, saying “Shoutout to Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk for making me leave because I weigh over 240.” She also said that she has never had problems riding horses in the past.

Bader turned the comments for the post off.

A day later she posted a video of a man at the ranch who made a video saying, “If you aren’t a fat b*tch you can ride at Deep Hollow Ranch.” The person who uploaded the video is TikTok user @Broudy.Keogh.

Deep Hollow Ranch posted a response to the employee’s video on social media, writing:

It has come to our attention that a TikTok video was posted regarding the ranch and a teenage employee posted a response that in no way represents nor is aligned with the views that the owners of the ranch hold. We would like to apologize to anyone who this offended and we do not condone or agree with any part of that employee’s video.

Commenters on the post blasted the ranch for referring to the person who uploaded the video as a “teenage employee,” when the person is apparently the owners’ son.

According to Horse Science News, a horse should not carry more than 20 percent of its weight. So a 2,000 lb horse should not carry anyone over 400 lbs.

  1. Interesting. I was told years ago (@ a ranch where I had my horse and rode him every day) that a horse shouldn’t carry anyone weighing more than 200 pounds.
I feel badly for this person but I know every ranch has its own riding rules. I think the “employee’s” video was completely inappropriate and she deserves a major apology.

  2. PLEASE PLEASE–WE ABSOLUTELY MUST CONSIDER THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF HORSES!!!

OTHERWISE, THERE WILL BE NO LIMITS! WHAT’S NEXT?! SHALL WE LET AN ELEPHANT RIDE A HORSE?! COME ON, PEOPLE–USE YOUR BRAINS AND HEARTS!
