An injured puppy who was stolen from an animal shelter in DeWitt, New York, on May 26 has been recovered. The 8-to-10-week-old puppy, named Dumbo, was taken from the CNY Syracuse animal shelter when someone broke in during the night. Shelter officials were desperate to recover Dumbo because he had multiple injuries requiring veterinary care.

Dumbo is described as “in good health,” and he is back in the care of the shelter.
