A dog who was being held at the Yakima Humane Society was recently reunited with her rightful owner. The dog, known as Montana during her months at the shelter, could not contain her joy when her “dad” finally found her.
On Saturday, the animal welfare agency recounted what happened:
If you’re a regular at the shelter, you know this face. This was previously Montana, she had been in our care since 4/26. Until today, when we had a gentleman walk through our doors asking if we had his blue nose that was stolen from him. Instantly I was preparing to have to tell him there had been nothing in recently by that description.
As the man scrolled through photos of the dogs who were at the shelter, one stood out – Montana appeared to be his missing companion.
The shelter said:
I brought her up to the front, and if you know Montana you know she gets excited to see everybody. But when she saw her dad she instantly melted in to his arms and could not stop whining with pure joy on her face.
She was his Baby Girl he had been missing. After almost exactly two months of being at the shelter Montana, real name Baby Girl, got to go home today.
