At Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in Georgia, a ten-year-old broken-hearted pup can’t understand why he is no longer in the only home he knew for over a decade. His name is Sir Dutch and his story isn’t one we haven’t read about in the past, but nevertheless, the emotional pain suffered by this little guy still hurts our hearts as deeply:

My name is Sir Dutch and I’m 10 years old. I’ve lived a life full of snuggling and sleeping in the bed with my people. I’ve loved kids as they’ve grown to be big people. I’ve tasted delicious treats and love to eats fruits for breakfast. Seriously, I’ve lived the best life a dog can live.

And now for the last two weeks, Sir Dutch shivers with the aches and pains of growing old. At his foster home, he can still snuggle beneath the covers, but the empty and cold part in his soul is what he can’t shake away.

Something changed. I’m not sure what. I’ve left my real home and am living with other dogs I don’t know in a foster home. There are blankets to cuddle in here. There is a bed to snuggle in. There are even fruits to eat. But still my heart feels cold.

Everyone continues to be kind to Sir Dutch, and he is getting the best of care. And although the angels and his foster home can help to alleviate his aches and pains and provide him with the comfort and love he deserves, he still needs a special someone to help heal his broken heart and the unwavering commitment of a forever family.

Please share Sir Dutch’ s story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives and mends broken hearts.

If you can send some support his way, Sir Dutch will wrap himself in the warmth of your embrace.
