A German shepherd named Smokey recently lost his home and family because they decided that he was “too big” to keep. On Friday, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs posted a video of Smokey, explaining Smokey’s situation:

Sweet SMOKEY is amazing! He was surrendered because his family said he got too big but they did say he has lived Outside, has been great with kids and even other dogs and CATS!
Please SHARE this dreamboat, a FOSTER or Adopter would save him now.

Smokey

Smokey is four-years-old and he was surrendered to the Carson Animal Services facility on January 13. As is always the case, owner surrendered dogs are the first to be put down when space constraints become an issue…there is no “safe” period of time for a stray hold. Will you please share Smokey’s information to help him find a committed and loving family? German shepherds are intelligent and devoted companions and Smokey deserves to be living with someone who will appreciate all that he has to offer.
