An animal shelter in New York is hoping to find a new home for a senior dog named Betty White, who was returned to them when her adoptive owner got sick. The 10-year-old mixed-breed dog was adopted two years ago after spending over 380 days at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter…but her adoptive owner was forced to send her back after falling ill.

The animal shelter is now hoping that someone will give the senior pooch a home on the real Betty White’s 100th birthday:

Another day, another Betty White post. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our Betty found a home on the real Betty White’s birthday? January 17 is quickly approaching and all we really want is to get our girl Betty into a warm and loving home ❤

The shelter explained Betty White’s situation, and described a bit of her personality, in a December 15 Facebook post, writing:

Many of you may remember our pal Betty White who spent 382 days at the shelter before finding her home. Well, here we are again hoping to find her a new family. Her dad is sick and needs our help. It is nothing Betty did. In fact, all she has done is provide him with comfort and love, and he has done the same for her.

But she is back at the shelter and hoping to once again find that pawfect person.
This angel is just the best. She is sweet, sassy, loveable, charismatic, goofy, and pretty much everything in between! Our staff and volunteers absolutely love this gal…it’s pretty hard not to! But she deserves a home for the howlidays. Last time it took her 382 days to find that pawfect family…we’re hoping it doesn’t take anywhere near that long this time!

According to the shelter, Betty White enjoys car rides, couch snuggles, playing with durable toys, and going for walks. They hope to find her a home with older kids and no other pets.
