At just 11 weeks of age, a Queensland heeler named Avila is unwanted and homeless. The darling pup is being held at the Kern County Animal Services – Bakersfield Shelter in California and she has been there since May 26.

Avila was picked up as a stray, but nobody came to the shelter to claim her. No rescue agencies have committed to taking her in, and despite her adorable appearance and appealing age, she has not been adopted.

Heelers are described as determined, courageous, hard-working and intelligent dogs – Avila needs a home where she will be loved and thrive. Please share her adoption information to help make this happen.

Her adoption profile can be found here.
