A dog named Rocky waited for a year as people walked by his kennel run at an Indiana animal shelter. Rocky was at Humane Society for Hamilton County, and in March, a social media post was made on his behalf:
Hi there, my name is Rocky! Yes, as in Balboa. And just like him, I’m everyone’s favorite underdog who will work as hard as I can to win your heart. I’ve been at the shelter now for over a year, just waiting to meet my new family. It makes me sad that I’ve been here so long (insert puppy dog eyes), but the good news is – I’ve gotten in some great training time at Paws & Play! I’m a super smart doggo that already knows how to “Sit”, “Shake”, “Lay Down”, “Drop It” and “Leave It”.
On May 21, the news Rocky’s fans were waiting for finally came:
It’s official. Rocky is home. ❤️ Thank you to Humane Society for Hamilton County (Indiana) for never giving up on him. He waited over a year for his new home. Please adopt don’t shop. There are many Rocky’s sitting in shelters that aren’t given the chance that he was given.
Rocky no longer has to wonder why nobody wants him…because someone does. Enjoy your new life Rocky!!
