In a heartbreaking photo that has brought tears to everyone’s eyes at the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter in Mississippi on Monday, an outpouring of offers to help, renews our faith in the kindness of people.
A homeless teenage boy who lives under a bridge in Tate County walked his four-month-old dog all the way to the shelter and asked the staff if they would please take his dog because he could not afford to keep her. The devoted puppy kept herself pinned to the young man’s legs while he was at the shelter filling out the forms for her surrender.
This is where she layed (sic) after her owner surrendered her today with her plastic bag of dog food and a blanket. She is devastated.

The shelter is full, but there was no way anyone would have disappointed this young man by not accepting his puppy.
And since the photo and story was posted one day ago, many people have been offering to help both the boy and his dog. Please know the information has been passed on, and if the boy can be found, he will be asked if he will accept some help.

This is sad beyond belief….. I feel terrible for the boy and his devoted dog.
I hope he can be helped and that someone can foster his dog until they can be reunited………
No one should be living under a bridge (human or animal)……,,
