Police in Clio, Michigan, want to know who left a dog tied up to a pole in the snow. On Tuesday, the Clio Police Department posted photos of the dog, writing:

This good boy was left tied up to the street sign at the southeast corner of New St. / Smith St. between 2 AM and 7 AM today.

A good Samaritan, concerned for the dog’s welfare, called the police, who then called Genesee County Animal Control for help. According to the authorities, the abandoned dog has “the sweetest personality.”

Chief Millstead has reached out with the hope that someone will recognize who the dog belongs to:

If anyone knows where he belongs, or how he came to be left where he was at, please call either our department or Animal Control.
If no information is developed, GCAC will place a hold on him pending medical and temperament evaluation, and if he is cleared, he would then be neutered and put up for adoption.
Any help on this good boy’s behalf would be greatly appreciated.
