Staff at California’s Downey Animal Care Center are pleading for help on behalf of a young German shepherd whose time is running out. An impassioned plea was posted to social media explaining Woody’s predicament:

Shelter Can only do what they can do with a full shelter❗️ More Dogs coming in‼️

⭕️ Staff tries between a double work load, to get pictures, they want these dogs in homes , rescue or adopted…….

The four-year-old shepherd has been at this facility since early October and as the facility continues to fill, he becomes increasingly at risk of being put down. Information has been provided about his personality:

Gorgeous Woody, came in pretty, full coat and groomed…. Social with other dogs, can be a little ruffled in the kennel, but take him out, he is a shy boy ….. well mannered, and is probably so upside down on how to be in a shelter environment coming from a loving home.

This handsome boy should not lose his life just because there isn’t room for him. Will you please share his adoption information to help him find a reputable rescue agency or an adopter? Time is of the essence. Find his adoption link here.
