Just in case you may have missed a brave dog’s journey from worrisome to awesome, may we introduce you to Dixie. As a puppy, she was born paralyzed, but that didn’t stop her from motoring around. And instead of walking on all fours, Dixie would drag her back legs along.
When Dixie was adopted, her owner took her to veterinarians hoping to help, but was later told Dixie had a bone infection. Repeated treatments proved unsuccessful, and Dixie’s only hope for survival would be to amputate both of her back legs.
Along with her animal pals, Bill – the “softest bunny” and Lily and Matilda who are senior cats, Dixie shares her life on Instagram. Check out pups_on_wheels for their amazing and of course inspirational stories. And there’s no stopping Dixie on wheels!
@millie_and_ma good question. I don’t really have it posted anywhere. Just bits and pieces on posts. She was born paralyzed and developed a bone infection so I had her legs amputated. She is happy and loves life!
