Older shepherd ‘at risk’ of being put down at Texas shelter

An older German shepherd is currently “at-risk” of being put down at a busy animal control agency in Texas. The dog, dubbed Ganfor, is at the San Antonio Animal Care Services facility and he was “due out” by February 14.

Ganfor was posted on the SAPA Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page on Monday – his post came with a warning of the danger he is in:

THIS DOG IS IN ACS KENNELS & AT RISK OF BEING KILLED. SHELTER EVALUATES SPACE AT: 9:30am Mon-Sat, and again at 5pm Mon-Fri & 3pm Sat. Or at anytime as space is needed.

Little is known about the homeless shelter dog. His profile at the shelter indicates that he was picked up as a stray:

More Info : I was found and am I currently at San Antonio Animal Care Services. If you believe you may be my owner please make arrangements to pick me up as soon as possible by 2pm on 02/14/2022.
