In Mt. Vernon, Indiana, a man convicted in the death of a puppy was sentenced on Wednesday to a total of five years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges including the felony Killing of a Domestic Animal and admitting to violating conditions of supervised release in a separate criminal matter.
Robert Wolf, 32, was sentenced by Judge Craig Goedde to two years in prison for killing the puppy and an additional three years for violating the terms of a separate sentence. In 2017, Goedde had been found guilty of Cruelty to an Animal misdemeanor as well as a 2020 felony conviction for Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury to Person Less Than 14 Years of Age. At the time, Goedde pleaded guilty to striking a three-year-old child bruising her; leaving the print of his hand on her face.
Wolf was released from a four year prison term in November, 2020. Five months later, he was charged with killing the puppy after the puppy bit him on his finger.
According to the Courier &Press, Wolf admitted to causing the death of the ten-week-old puppy by hitting it several times.
Wolf will serve his prison sentence at the Indiana Department of Correction.

This is outrageous. With this man’s history, 5 years is nothing. He won’t even serve that whole 5 years. What about mandatory anger management ?? This isn’t good enough!
