On Monday, Florida’s DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office announced their search for the owner of an emaciated, senior dog who was found abandoned in a trash bag that was left near the intersection of NW Livingston Street and NW North Road. According to the authorities, a concerned citizen discovered the dog after noticing an “oddly shaped garbage bag” near the roadway.

The dog was still alive, but in poor condition.

The authorities admonished whoever was behind the cruel act:

There is absolutely NO reason to treat animals this way; not when there are shelters available and/or people who would gladly adopt a pretty little lady like this one. It is absolutely unacceptable!

Information needed

If anyone has information regarding the “owner” of this dog or the identity of whoever discarded her like trash, PLEASE contact the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible.

This poor pup is fed and comfortable for now thanks to DeSoto County Animal Control.

  1. Bless the GOOD Samaritan 2,000 fold for their kindness, and bless DeSoto Animal Control 10,000 for their many gut wrenching days and continuing to try to bring a ray of hope to these abandoned and abused animals. May God’s hand of Justice find these VILE THUGS with a reality check of being forced to starve as THEY TOO are abandoned.
