Update 6/4/2022: Rescued!! Second Chances Pet Rehab

Fort Worth, Texas – A senior dog, still bouncy and full of life, is facing his last moments on earth because nobody has stepped up to give him a home. The nine-year-old, Drew, has been given his “last call” at the Chuck Silex Animal Care and Control facility in Fort Worth. A video taken of Drew reveals how very happy and lively he is (watch here on Facebook).

It is impossible to imagine that a dog so full of life will be lost if help doesn’t arrive in time. A social media post reveals the urgency of Drew’s situation:

LAST CALL 6/2 WILL BE EUTHANIZED ‼️needs to be tagged for adoption, rescue or foster no later than 12 pm, out by 6 pm🚨🚨
📌SENIOR📌 muscle wasting.
This old man has not had an easy life! He has a lot of scars on his face, arthritis, possible muscle wasting (look at his head)
He’s actually prob treated better here than in a backyard but wouldn’t it be amazing for him to have a new, loving home!
Drew 49644006 is est 9 yrs old, male, 62 lbs, NOW NEUTERED, heartworm positive.

Please consider networking Drew’s information to help save his precious life. ID#49644006

OMGosh! I’m only just seeing this now – leaving NO TIME to try to do ANYTHING to HELP! That’s unconscionable and CRUEL! I sooooo hope June Shaw Brock who offered to take DREW DID get through in time to save this innocent angel from being killed for no reason. PLEASE let us know IF SHE DID. SHAME on this ‘shelter’ for giving people so little or NO time to help. ThanXOX to June for caring and stepping up. Again, PAWS crossed it was in time…
