Lady went to shelter when her owner became homeless: Over a year later she is still there

A dog named Lady was surrendered to an Amityville, New York, animal shelter when her owner became homeless. More than a year later, she continues to wait for someone to choose her. The Babylon Animal Shelter has repeatedly posted Lady’s photos and information to its social media account…to no avail.

The animal shelter writes:

LADY NEEDS A HOME**
Lady #21-19. Arrived 1/12/21 at 2 years old.
Lady came to us after her owner became homeless. In her time here at the shelter she has shown us what a sweet Lady she is. Lady loves attention and walks and she especially loves to do zoomie laps in the big yard here! Play is what Lady is about, she loves to fetch and finds joy in each toy presented to her.

According to shelter staff, Lady is sweet to people, but she is not always a fan of the other dogs at the shelter and she does have some resource guarding issues that her new owner needs to be aware of.

Please help network Lady’s information and help her find a family of her very own!
