Humane agents in Brown County, Ohio, are seeking answers after a disturbing discovery was made on US 52 between Ripley and Aberdeen. According to the Brown County Humane Society Shelter, on February 7, someone discovered deceased dogs inside of dog food bags.

The animal welfare agency said that the dogs in the bags were adults, and they were emaciated. The agency said:

We know the pictures are disturbing. Our hope is that someone out there knows these dogs as they suffered terribly.

Humane agents are hopeful that someone will recognize the dogs and/or the dog food bags and that they will reach out with a tip to lead them to whoever is responsible.

We are asking the public for any information that will assist the Humane Agents in locating the owner or caretaker of these dogs. Please take note of the brand of dog food. Pro Kal by KalKan
