A young German shepherd mix named Loki is slowly losing his zest for life at a California animal shelter. On March 24, the Save the Nor-Cal Shelter Dogs Facebook page posted:

We went out in the sunshine today for some pictures. He was pretty chill… just sniffing and saying hello. I could see his heart is a little more sad since the last time I saw him. His spirit was a little less happy. Dogs aren’t meant to be kenneled for long periods, and as much as they try to give these animals good care, a kenneled life isn’t fair to Loki.

Adding:

He wants to be someone’s good boy. He wants to go on adventures with you or just stay at home and be with you.

Imagine the stress and sadness a young, energetic dog experiences from being locked in a kennel run, with no ability to romp and play. Imagine the loneliness of being in a shelter kennel run with no person to share your affection with.

Loki is believed to be a German shepherd/Malinois mix. He is estimated to be under two years of age. Will you please share his information? He deserves to be living his life…not just existing.

A prior post about Loki indicates that his life is at risk if he is not adopted or rescued:

  1. I hope someone local can open their heart and home for this precious treasure……

Is there a German Shepard rescue that could help Loki? I am shocked that there is no breed rescue group to help dogs like Loki,,,,,,

This precious treasure deserves to be a beloved family member with a loving furever family who will always be there for him, for the rest of his life……
