Hidden from public view because ‘she’s fearful’ and expected not to make it out of shelter alive

How is any rescuer or rescue organization expected to rescue a dog in dire need if she is hidden from the public and kept in isolation because “she’s fearful”? On December 13, the three-year-old, Siberian husky mix, arrived at San Bernardino Animal Control in California as a stray, and is was only until these last few days, that a photo of Clarice and short video have been made available.

Clarice is listed to be euthanized on February 10, 2022.

It’s heartbreaking to read what Clarice’s advocate stated:

She’s been hidden in an isolation kennel since her arrival as a stray to City of San Bernardino Animal Services on December 13, 2021. Staff named her Clarice. She’s very fearful, which is why the shelter have given her the dreaded ‘rescue only’ label. We finally got a photo and video of her. Now we need to get her out of there.
