No one knows for sure what really happened to Markie Mark, but volunteers from Dallas Dog Rescue.Rehab.Reform spent hours cuddling him after he was rescued and on his way from South Texas to a Dallas emergency vet hospital.
I am a Dallas Dog volunteer. I spent almost 11 hours helping transport this sweet little one from south Texas to Dallas. I will admit there were many tears shed on my drive… I kept one hand on him the entire way, giving him gentle touches and whispering words of strength. Safely in the hands of the ER team, I saw the x-rays. Saying ‘fractured’ is an understatement. Having fostered for over a decade, I know the medical expenses will be significant. That said, I also know Dallas Dog will do whatever is needed to give him the best life ever.

When Markie Mark was found he needed a miracle to survive. He had been bleeding profusely and has received a blood transfusion. It was originally suspected he had been hit by a car, however his neck and legs were not injured, thereby leading veterinarians to believe he had been injured by blunt force trauma.
Markie Mark is resting comfortably at Med Vet Dallas and spent yesterday on fluids and pain medication. On Friday, he is scheduled to meet the neurologist and have a CT-Scan to check on the head trauma. He remained in the oxygen chamber while he had time; they are trying to get him a little stronger.

All I know is that whoever hurt this precious little treasure is guaranteed a reserved space in the hottest part of Hell to burn forever for their cruelty!!!
I hope Markie Mark recovers ASAP and is rehomed into a loving furever family who will treat him as a beloved family member for his entire life.
