A heartless creep seen on a surveillance video stole a 75-year-old man’s puppy on a Queen’s sidewalk in broad daylight Saturday. The video showed Alonso Gil’s uncle’s entrance of his home in South Ozone Park in the middle of the day with his two dogs.

According to the Facebook page, Ozone Park Residents Block Association, one of the dogs named Off White, a 10-month-old gray and white mini pit bull, along with another dog had been outdoors with their owner. A person on a scooter drove by and stopped to ask questions about the dog, in what had seemed to have been in a friendly fashion and asked if could pet the dog. As the old man bent down to take the dogs inside after a few minutes, the scooter driver grabbed Off White under his arm and sped away.

The elderly dog owner tried to jump in front of the scooter, but the driver swerved and took off down the sidewalk. The owner is only interested in the return of his dog and is begging the culprit to drop the dog off at a park where people around can take him to the nearest police station and then be returned to his heartbroken owner.

The family is offering a $2,000 reward – anything they can afford to get their puppy home.
