In the city of New Caney, Texas, neighbors had been trying to capture this golden retriever for months. His family apparently moved away in December 2021, with no regard for their dog’s perilous future. He was left to scavenge for food; his body condition deteriorated and as if that wasn’t hard enough to deal with, he was bullied by other neighborhood strays.
Finally, he was captured today after he was found in one of the neighbor’s backyards. Today his life has changed; he has been transported to Blue Pearl Veterinary Specialists in Spring. His new name is Sam.
ThisIsHouston has stepped up to help. A foster home is needed in the Houston area.
