In Buchanan Dam, the Hill Country Humane Society is calling out to the public for help after 17 emaciated dogs were seized on Sunday. The dog pictured, along with six other dogs have arrived at the rescue organization. Five other dogs arrived on Saturday, and the shelter is full.

Foster homes are now needed to take the healthy dogs so room can be made for the emergency cases. The dogs just coming into the shelter as part of the seizure, can not be fostered until they are examined and cleared by the veterinarians, however room is needed for their immediate treatment and care.

There are many healthy and adoptable dogs ready to find new, loving homes.
