Dogs who lived horrible lives reunited and only had eyes for each other

Dogs are nothing short of amazing, and the reunion of Ollie and Bella brought happy tears to everyone who happened to be lucky enough to watch. In a ThisIsHouston update on Wednesday afternoon, it was the story of a paralyzed dog rescued in Cleveland, Texas nearly six months ago.

The rescue organization had been alerted to the distressing situation and discovered three dogs in need. One of the dogs went to another rescue, the other husky, Bella, was picked up by a foster and former adopter who wound up keeping her, and Ollie came into the care of ThisIsHouston.

It was later discovered that Olly and Bella had previously been owned, but had been abandoned by their owners when they moved. Olly had been struck by a vehicle while with his owners, but had been left untreated. As tragic as that was, Ollie had at one point in his life had been shot, and the pellet remained lodged in his hip.

Sadly, Ollie never regained use of his back legs, but as dogs live for today and scarcely have the time nor the desire to feel sorry for themselves, Ollie adjusted and gets around quite well with his “wheels.”

Now for the amazing follow-up for Ollie who was reunited yesterday with Bella.

They immediately recognized each other. Olly had no interest in other dogs until he saw her and he scooted towards her so fast.

Olly has a family line up and his adopters will be travelling down from Washington to pick him up soon. He truly won the jackpot with them.

And they all lived happily ever after.
