Dog surrendered by disabled owner – group says he must exit shelter today or he will be put down

Update 1/11/2022: According to Must Love Dogs – Saving NYC Dogs, Snoopy has been placed with NO PAW LEFT BEHIND.

Time has run out for a six-year-old dog named Snoopy who was surrendered to a New York City animal care center before Christmas. According to Must Love Dogs – Saving NYC Dogs, Snoopy has to exit the Manhattan Animal Care Center tonight, or he will be put down. On Monday morning, the Must Love Dogs Facebook page said:

NEEDS OUT BY 6 PM TODAY OR THEY WILL PUT HIM DOWN. KITTY PITTIE SUPER FRIENDLY Snoopy is struggling to breathe the ACC said. His owner is disabled, and can’t care for him. PLEASE DOG LOVERS, HE NEEDS PLEDGES AND NEEDS TO GET SEEN. This awesome boy will be killed today if no one steps up!

Describing Snoopy’s serious medical issue:

Snoopy continues to struggle to breathe and repeat chest rads have not improved much. The doctors on the case are giving a poor prognosis (foreseeing 3-5 days in oxygen to see if the dog turns for the better!!
