In Hammond, Louisiana, a Good Samaritan rescued a dog she spotted last weekend dangling from a moving vehicle’s side window according to the the Humane Society of Louisiana.
Early in the morning, Bunny Giraud spotted the dog hanging from the vehicle on Old Baton Rouge Highway and notified police. As authorities pursued the vehicle, the driver pushed the dog out of the window as the animal dangled by his neck by his leash. The leash snapped and the dog crashed into the pavement. Bunny ran into the middle of the road to save the pooch.
The dog was rushed to Animal Care in Hammond where he was treated for injuries to his ligament, tendons and back legs.
The driver of the vehicle, Skilar Blake Dwyer, 27, has been charged with multiple felonies including animal cruelty, fleeing from officers, possession of narcotics and weapons’ violation.
According to Fox News, the dog named Marvel has been making a great recovery and has since been adopted by his rescuer.
Angels exist.
