Dog has been at shelter since he was 4 days old is still there 11 years later and has become world’s loneliest dog

Since he was only four days old, rescued from a kill shelter and taken to a Romanian animal rescue shelter, Pluto has never spent a day out of the shelter – that’s 11 years, and he still doesn’t have a real home. The pup was born in a public kill shelter, and his mother and four siblings were all adopted; Pluto and his sibling Dino were left behind. Sadly, Dino recently died, and now Pluto is the only family member left.

Pluto is Nobody Dog’s longest resident and the heartbreaking part of all this, is that the manager of the shelter said they “will end his life in the center if no one steps in.”

So what’s Pluto like? According to the shelter staff, he loves to be around other dogs, cats and children and would love to be part of an active family. In addition, he walks well on a leash, and no one would believe he’s a senior.

Ideally, his new family would live in a rural setting. Remember, Pluto has never been off the rescue shelter’s grounds and has no idea about city noises or street traffic.
