Dog, 15 plus years of age, homeless at busy shelter in twilight of life

An elderly dog, believed to be 15+ years of age, finds herself homeless at a busy California animal control agency in the twilight of her life. Her name is Boba and she has been at the Los Angeles Animal Services – North Central Shelter since April 29.

Boba is not in good health…her medical notes reveal a plethora of issues:

MEDICAL/NOTES:
coughing, hacking during entire exam, severe tartar, gum inflammation, loose mobile teeth, needs dental with extractions, opacity OU, hard to examine dog does not like face touched, slow weak gait, skin issues, suspect hacking is related to heart (no uri signs noted), dog is thin, potbellied, tired, has fairly significant muscle loss.

Will a city shelter be the place where Boba’s life ends? Or will someone step in to save her life? The shelter has a special medical alert for Boba:
