Update 1/12/2022: Recovered! Truck with Luke still inside found near owner’s home. Heavy media coverage may have inspired the thieves to return them.

A Washington family is desperate to find their dog, who was taken when their truck was stolen from the parking lot of a business in Buckley on Monday morning.

In a Facebook post, a woman named Amy explained what happened:

Stolen Dog and Truck! My dads maroon F-350 Ford was stolen from NW Fitness gym in Buckley the morning of 1/10/2022. Our dog Luke was in the cab. Based on tips, we have reason to believe Luke was not let out of the truck when they initially stole it. The truck was seen at Walmart in Bonney Lake and Works Sports in Enumclaw in the morning with Luke in it.

Fox 13 Reports:

The truck was later seen on camera in Bonney Lake with the license plate removed. The suspects were using it to follow Fed-Ex and Amazon trucks around to steal packages. The camera didn’t activate in time to get the female suspect’s face but you can see she has dark purple hair.

Anyone who has spotted this truck or the dog is asked to call 911 or the Auto Theft Task Force – Puget Sound through their Facebook page or call their tip line at (253) 329-2442. You can also email:
