A video of the owner applying face makeup to the face of her pet monkey has garnered considerable criticism as many social media viewers allege animal cruelty. The user @miapikaso was shown applying numerous makeup products to the face of the monkey.
The video was reposted to Twitter by an animal activist and wildlife biologist from Indonesia identified as Indi. The video begins with a woman using a concealer under the monkey’s eyes and then applying eyeshadow and mascara – narrowly missing the monkey’s eyes with the mascara wand. In the video, she remarks how “cute” the pet looked and then ended by putting lipstick on her.
Indi asked viewers to report the video as animal abuse.
Please help me report this, tweeps. Its eyes almost hit by the mascara. The monkey was also seen licking the lip tint, although it’s unsure that the product is safe for consumption. Not to mention there might be risk of allergies (from the cosmetics)

Criticism for the woman’s treatment of her pet was swift and critical. After garnering more than four-million views, and numerous reports to social media for alleged animal cruelty, the video was deleted, but not before animal lovers made their point.
