Early on New Year’s Day, the Big Bend Fire Department in Wisconsin responded to an incident involving a single vehicle roll over accident on I-43. Upon arrival, firemen found 16 dogs in the van that were being transported from Austin, Texas to the Washington County Humane Society.

The driver of the van was transported to a local hospital where he suffered only minor injuries. All 16 of the dogs have been transported to the Washington County Humane Society.

The dogs are a little shaken but otherwise in good condition. Several are ready for adoption, and the others will be ready in a few days. The driver is also doing well and was reunited with her puppy…After a long bumpy journey, the dogs are shaking it off and adding it to their list of adventures. They are ready to begin 2022 in the loving care of their new families. If now is the right time to adopt, visit the shelter. These beautiful dogs promise to return your love tenfold.
