Willow (pictured above) was one of the 27 beagles transferred to AHS by The Humane Society of the United States. Willow was born and has lived her entire life confined to a small space in unsanitary conditions, likely with little human socialization. When she arrived, as with the other dogs rescued, she is timid and unsure of what is happening.

All of the dogs have been welcomed with patience and gentle care and have begun to settle in. The medical team is examining the dogs and providing preliminary care including dental procedures, hair loss, masses and lacerations and wounds. Their care is expected to be expensive.
