After more than 100 days at shelter, sweet Gordo is scheduled to be put down

A “love bug” named Gordo has been held at a Harris County, Texas, animal shelter since January 25 – and now, after more than 100 days, he is on this week’s schedule of dogs to be put down. Gordo is at the Harris County Pets facility and his date with death is May 11. The Houston Save Lives Is Our Mission Facebook page confirmed the dire news:

UPDATE 5/8: GORDO IS OFFICIALY ON EU LIST FOR WED 5/11!!!

Gordo did nothing to deserve the fate that awaits him. He wants nothing more than to love and be loved…and most of all, to live. Please help save Gordo’s life by sharing his adoption information. Time is of the essence for this sweet boy.

  1. SUPER URGENT! PLEASE PLEASE–THIS ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART DOESN’T DESERVE TO DIE! HE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF THERE RIGHT NOW!

    • Do you know the information for the rescue that would pull him? I’m not in Texas, but I would definitely be willing to get information on if they would do an out of state adoption and if someone could direct me one getting help with a transport.
