A plea for help has been issued on behalf of a dog named Tiger, who is the longest resident at the Edison Animal Shelter in New Jersey. Tiger has been waiting for a year and a half, hoping that someone visiting the facility will choose HIM to be their forever friend.

The social media plea for Tiger reads:

Our longest resident.. 1.5 years in a shelter💔
He needs a few visits – we suggest they be spaced close enough where he can get familiar fast.
He is an absolutely wonderful dog!

Please someone give him a chance.. he means the world to us and we’re hoping other people can see this side too!

Insight into his demeanor has been provided:

Preferably only dog- doesn’t really get along with male dogs / doesn’t pay attention to cats and has played with older females back and forth through fence
Loves to go for walks
Loves baths
LOVES STUFFIES ( see pic with his stuffed tiger)
Typical mastiff – protective and wears his heart on his paw💔🥺

Please share Tiger’s information – he undoubtedly wants out of his kennel run and longs for people of his own.
