In eastern China, a young boy held a cardboard box above his head to help rescue a scared cat trapped on a wall in the city of Yantai in the Shandong Province.

According to the South China Morning Post, the youngster noticed the frightened cat and initially tried to hold a traffic cone above his head in an attempt to entice the cat to jump into it. The child’s mother saw her son trying to help the cat, and told him it would be to scary for the cat to jump into the cone and suggested the child use a cardboard box.

And so we see the adorable and kind child hold the cardboard box above his head and waited for the cat to feel confident enough to accept the child’s help and jump into the box. The little boy then takes the box with the white kitty run back to his mom.

His mother said the family has already adopted two cats.

We’re pretty sure this young child will grow up to be an animal advocate.

  1. It is so NICE to see a good person in China trying to help one of God’s creatures out of danger. God bless this young fella and God Bless his mother for raising a kind person. What a refreshing change of behavior.
