A man trying to break into a San Antonio, Texas, home on Monday morning wound up getting much more than he bargained for. According to KSAT News, the man was trying to break into a residence in the 500 block of Marshall Street during the early morning hours when the owner of the home heard what was happening.

The homeowner confronted the intruder with a gun and shot the man in the hand – then, the homeowner’s dog got in on the action and bit the intruder on the leg.

The would-be burglar was treated by first responders who arrived to the residence; the homeowner is not expected to face any charges for shooting the suspect.
