At the Agoura Animal Care Center, a tiny Papillon shivered in fear after he was turned into the shelter as a “stray.” Unfortunately, too many dog owners want to avoid paying a surrender fee to the animal shelter – funds that are always needed to help support the many unwanted pets arriving at shelters through no fault of their own.
Through research, the eight-year old dog’s (Texas #A5422019) microchip revealed, after speaking to his original owner, (who the microchip was still registered to) that it was actually his person who turned him in.
“A phone call prompted a relinquishment so Texas didn’t have to wait 10 days on a stray hold. This was fortunate so we could begin the work needed to help him to feel safe. Poor guy was very confused & scared initially but warmed up to our resident dog whisperer KA Craig pretty quickly. By the time volunteers on our special teams began working with him his little personality began to shine!,” shelter volunteers posted on social media.

I would NEVER adopt a dog from Texans. TEXANS ARE ALLOWED to: rape, beat, starve, and torture ANY ANIMAL at ANY TIME for ANY REASON with IMPUNITY. We KNOW law enforcement doesn’t care about anyone except THEMSELVES, judges have PROVEN they LOVE it when torture victims are revealed as they REVEL in their long, ABUSIVE deaths. Heck, the people in this state don’t WANT ANYONE ELSE in the country to have voting rights, nor are we allowed to choose who we want if THEY don’t agree, THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES. This poor baby may be so scared because he was repeatedly sexually assaulted or beaten. The trauma these Texas FREAKS ARE ALLOWED to IMPOSE on ANY living BEING makes Texans a DANGER to ALL in society. I know MANY people who refuse to adopt or fund anything to do with these NAZI pukes.
I am glad that the owner signed over this dog so that he can be rehomed ASAP!!!
I think that people claim “stray” because of most shelters’ policy of placing owner surrendered pets at the top of the euthanasia lists. They figure that strays will have a little more time to find a new home…..

According to the shelter, this precious little treasure was adopted on 6/25/21. I hope his new family treats him like a beloved family member for his entire life!!!
