A woman in New Haven, Connecticut, is facing charges following the discovery of video which allegedly shows her throwing, kicking, and abusing puppies. As reported by WTNH News, the social media videos led to the arrest of Anizya Elliott.
New Haven Police responded to Elliott’s home on Sherman Avenue after receiving an anonymous tip about suspected animal abuse. Officers arrested Elliott on Sunday evening and charged her with animal cruelty. Elliott was released after posting bond; she is due in court on May 17.
The two six-month-old puppies who were allegedly abused in the video were removed from Elliott’s possession. They are currently being cared for by staff at the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter.
