A woman in Milford, Connecticut, is facing a charge of animal cruelty after she brought a deceased, emaciated and injured dog, to a veterinarian. As reported by Fox 61 News, 41-year-0ld Christelle Sommervil was arrested, charged (and released) after a veterinarian discovered that the dog she brought in smelled strongly of urine, had extensive bruising, was emaciated, had crusted eyes, and a pressure sore.

Sommervil has promised to return to court on March 15 to face the cruelty to animals charge.

Meanwhile in California, an emaciated dog is fighting for life after his owner brought him to an animal shelter and told staff that the frail dog had stopped eating a month ago. You can read Benny’s story at this link.
