Vern becoming more and more depressed because no one wants him

In Morton Grove, Illinois, at the Wright-Way Rescue, Vern is becoming more and more depressed. Here is a dog who loves everyone, is completely house trained and needs a loving family to give him a purpose to his life again, yet no one seems to want him. One can only imagine Vern’s disappointment watching the other dogs going home with their new families while he’s been left behind.

Vern’s advocate writes the following heartbreaking note on social media asking people to share this amazing dog’s plight:

“This is breaking my heart. I seriously do not know how Vern, is still here. He is becoming more and more depressed. He loves EVERYONE (and children). He is a STRONG boy but responds very well to training. Completely housebroken. He is a big goofball and will crack you up with his personality! Exercise him for a bit and he will be a couch potato. Please let me know if you are interested. If I could take him I would.”

Vern is reported to be fine with small dogs also. He has not been tested with cats, but that can be arranged. Please – check out his photo, read his story and ask friends, family and social media contacts to share. Vern deserves better.
