Sadly, it has now become the last chance to rescue Summer and her son Blake from the San Antonio Care Services. A plea has been sent out by the shelter asking for help finding these dogs suitable homes.

Summer 60448 and Blake 604451 came in together as strays. Summer is a female who is around two-years-old, weighs 60 pounds and is heartworm negative. A volunteer notes that Summer walks great on a leash and is non-reactive to other dogs.

An advocate for Summer writes this:

“This dog has 3 puppies they were picked up at an apartment complex called costa mirada and left two of her puppies behind!
She was such an amazing mom! she would find food and feed her puppies before feeding herself! I would always give them food I really hope she doesn’t get put down and someone is able to care for her…”
