A young dog is at risk of being put down after being adopted and then returned. The four-year-old mixed breed, named Loki, is at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, and he is considered to be “urgent.”

Saving Carson Shelter Dogs writes:

URGENT!!! PLEASE SHARE!!! 💥🛑
HE WAS ADOPTED AND RETURNED and now he needs a FOSTER and RESCUE to save him.

Explaining the dog’s terror when he was picked up initially:

When he was found and Animal control came to get him he ran until he was exhausted and his feet were sore and toe nails bloody, he was so scared. He has a chip but his family never came. He needs help now.

Saving Loki

Loki has a family out there somewhere, but they apparently aren’t coming to the shelter to retrieve him. Right now, he is relying on the kindness of strangers to save his life.

Note: According the shelter’s assessment, this dog is “selective” with other dogs and is best suited to a home without young children.
