At the Miami-Dade Animal Services, the photo of a frightened pup clinging to a volunteer circulated on social media on Sunday with the hope someone’s heart would melt when they saw Flor and subsequently rush to the shelter to rescue her.
Flor’s story went viral with the attention her photo and heartbreaking story:
“She clings to the volunteers asking them for help. A beautiful sweet girl that doesn’t like to be in the back, she knows one day she won’t ever see the light of day again… She is in the back when she cannot be seen… Flor has been at MDAS for almost a month labeled “Fearful girl in need of help at the shelter.”
Just two days later, Flor was rescued by Humans and Animals United:
“Thank you all for all of the love that Flor received. She was forgotten, left in the back of the shelter while the shelter kept sending pleas for her rescue with no answer. Barrier aggression they said and food aggressive and that is why no one wanted to take a chance in saving her. She is now part of our rescue family! Flor was all smiles while leaving MDAS, a sweet pup that only needed a chance. Cannot wait to see what life brings for this little one. Thank you all for the continued support to our rescue.
