In a rural area of Texas, an emaciated Great Dane hobbled around, barely able to walk. He seemed always to be in pain, but his owners refused to get him help. And instead day after day, the dog’s owner ignored White’s suffering.

On Wednesday White was rescued after Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped up to help. The dog was removed from his abusive owner and immediately transferred to an animal hospital for care. Preliminary radiographs were done, and it shows a very complicated and expensive orthopedic journey for a positive outcome hopefully some time in the future.

In order to help White, he will need specialized care and is being prepared to travel to New York City where he will be seen by the organization’s partner orthopedic surgeon where diagnostics can be completed and a plan discussed to help this dog.
