An injured puppy, cruelly discarded in a backpack in Colerain Township, Ohio, is safe and sound thanks to a truck driver with Rumpke Waste and Recycling. The waste management company posted an image of the rescued pup, and her human hero, on Wednesday morning, recounting how she was saved:

A Rumpke truck driver is a hero after saving a puppy this morning. Aaron Kinsel was servicing customers in Colerain Township when he noticed movement from a discarded backpack.

According to the company, Kinsel found a 10-week-old pup inside of the backpack. As reported by NBC4 News, the boxer-mix pup, dubbed Tipper, was taken to a veterinarian for care. An exam revealed that she had a broken leg and was dehydrated.

Little Tipper was not only rescued, she now has a forever home with the man who found her. Kinsel tells the news agency:

I felt like I was meant to find her.
