At the Tunica Humane Society, Tre and Jazzy have been at the shelter for months. It’s not as if the two bonded dogs aren’t being well-cared for, but isn’t a home of their own the wish for every shelter dog? Ever since their owner from Memphis could no longer care for them, the two seniors count on each other for comfort.
Tre and Jazzy love each other. Sadly, no one has even offered to adopt the bonded pair. You see, Jazzy is completely blind, and most people do want to deal with special needs pets. Separating the two is not an option. Tre watches over Jazzy, and he protects her. For however long, Tre lives, shelter staff are sure he will stay be her side. Jazzy knows his scent, knows his tender touch; he gives her the will to live even without her eyes.
“Maybe they were meant to be with us always?,” the animal welfare organization posted on their social media page. “But tonight I will pray for these special dogs, just like I do every night. That one day soon they find their forever family. Someone that will love them just as much as we do, only they won’t be in a shelter, they will sleep every night in the comfort of a loving home.”
