Kaya is five-and-a-half-months-old and a special kitten. The staff and volunteers at ToRescue.org smile at Kaya’s sweetness, and tell all of us that everyone who meets her, falls in love with her. Sadly, the special needs kitten with the most adorable congenital facial deformity, has yet to receive one adoption offer.

Just a few months ago, Kaya arrived at the Montclair, Canada rescue organization for the opportunity to be adopted one day. She was very dehydrated, malnourished, infested with fleas and ticks, and obviously she has a face deformity.

“She has been through a lot in her short life, but that hasn’t stopped her from being super affectionate and playful. She gets along great with her foster families other cats and dogs. She is so deserving of a wonderful forever home.”

It is not known why Kaya has not received any applications, and we are hoping sharing this adorable little one’s story on social media, she will find her perfect family. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, micro chipped and has tested negative for leukemia and FIV. This week Kaya will be having a procedure on her eyes to relieve the discomfort, and after her operation will not require any further medical attention.

We all know – not everyone is perfect, but we sure do think Kaya is beautiful. Her caretakers describe her as very affectionate and playful. She gets along with great with her foster family’s other cats and dogs.
