A sweet, senior dog named Maggie finds herself waiting to be saved from the medical portion of a busy California animal control agency. On Sunday morning, the Saving Carson Shelter Dog Facebook page posted a video of the 10-year-old dog, with a post indicating that she is in need of a helping hand:

According to the volunteer-run page, Maggie’s sweet demeanor has won over staff and volunteers at the Carson Animal Care Center in Gardena:

Everyone is in love with sweet MAGGIE. She came in as a stray and needs some help.

Aside from Maggie’s status as a senior dog, there are no notes indicating why she is in the medical part of the shelter.

  1. 10 is young for Chihuahua’s I’ve had most of mine live to 20 or more. Right now I have a 18, 17, 15, 14, 5 and 4 y/o. Brush their teeth weekly and a monthly bath and vaccines every 2 years is about all I ever have to do. They only thing I have too do is euthanize because the littles don’t die! They go blind and deaf and toothless but keep on ticking. The little boogers 😉
